BJ earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska–Omaha and his master’s degree in public health from the University of South Dakota. BJ has been a licensed nursing home administrator since 2012 and is currently serving on the Iowa Nursing Home Administrator Licensing Board. Growing up in the industry with a mother who worked as a long-term care nurse, BJ developed a deep passion for serving seniors in the community. At West Ridge, he values the people—both residents and team members—and is committed to maintaining a tradition of outstanding quality care through the Eden Alternative Model.
Graduate of Kirkwood Community College with Associates Degree in both Occupational Therapy and Nursing. Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Mt. Mercy University. Board certified gerontology nurse and wound care certified.
